İngiliz rock grubu The Charlatans’ın solisti Tim Burgess, 2 Ekim’de BKM ve Uniq İstanbul işbirliğiyle Uniq Açıkhava Sahnesi’nde müzikseverlerle buluşacak. Son dönemde müziği kadar yazdıklarıyla da adından söz ettiren, geçen temmuzda “İstanbul’dan San Francisco’ya Plak Maceraları” (Vinyl Adventures From Istanbul To San Francisco) adlı kitabı İngiltere’de çok satanlar listesine giren Burgess ile İstanbul performansı öncesi bir araya geldik.

Irak savaşında zarar görmüş çocuklara el uzatmak yine müzisyenlere düştü. ‘‘War Child: Hope’’ albümünde, Paul Mc Cartney, David Bowie, Yusuf İslam gibi ünlü isimler, 17 klásik eser yorumladılar. Nisan ayında Avrupa'da çıkan, bu ay Türkiye'de piyasaya sürülecek olan albümün tüm geliri Iraklı çocuklar yararına harcanacak.

If the Turkish people hit the streets and the city squares every time a prime minister or government minister told a lie, they'd never get the chance to go back home. Yeah, it would be incredible-our people would have been on the streets for the last 50 years or so protesting. They would gasp for breath, sit down in front of the tv, and have to turn around and rush back to the streets to protest some more, as news of the next big lie came in.
