Former minister of foreign affairs Şükrü Sina Gürel has hit back at allegation made by the current Minister of Culture and Tourism, Atilla Koç. Talking at the Supreme Council, Koç suggested that a former minister "had bought houses for his ex and current wives,” without giving names. Şükrü Sina Gürel is adamant that he did nothing wrong: “I have nothing to hide,” said the former minister, “let’s take this to the court and see what happens.”
