AKP MP makes interesting remarks
A member of the ruling AK Party and MP for Aksaray, Ramazan Toprak, has made astonishing remarks about the president of Van Univeristy, who was imprisoned on charges of corruption last week. Toprak said the president, Yucel Askin, is of Armenian origin. “I hear a hundred presidents from universities all over Turkey are planning a protest gathering in Van,” Toprak continued, “it is all absurd. We have assigned an Armenian-origin president to Van, where Armenia still has plans.”
