Islandman ile ‘Kaybola’
Bundan 6.5 sene önce Babylon’un Taksim’deki mekanında aylardır beklediğim ‘Wild Nothing’ konserine gitmiştim. Grubun turnesindeki son konser olduğu için gece ayrı bir anlam taşıyordu. Konserden önce ön grup olarak ‘Islandman’ sahneye çıkmıştı. İtiraf etmeliyim o gece ‘Wild Nothing’ nefis bir konser vermiş olsa da benim aklım ‘Islandmand’ın nefis müziklerinde kalmıştı. O gün bugündür ‘Islandman’ hakkında ne zaman bir haber çıksa, yeni bir şarkı paylaşsa ben ekstra dikkat kesiliyorum.

Primavera sahnesinde Selda Bağcan rüzgârı
İspanya’nın Barselona şehrinde gerçekleşecek Primavera Sound elektronik müzik festivali 2 Haziran’da başlıyor. Festivalde Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, Tame Impala, Sigur Rós, Animal Collective, Pusha T, Brian Wilson, John Carpenter, Vince Staples, Julia Holter gibi dünyaca ünlü isimlerin yanı sıra Türk halk müziğinin efsane seslerinden Selda Bağcan da sahne alacak. Festival Red Bull TV’den ve aynı anda Hürriyet Web TV’den (www.redbull.tv/primaverasound) canlı olarak izlenebilecek.

Son 20 gündür gündemdeki olaylar Gezi Parkı ve sonrasında gelişen olaylar ekseninde devam edince müzik dünyasından biraz koptuk.İşin doğrusu bu dönemde ben de çoğu kişi gibi ne müzik dinlemek istedim, ne de buna heves edebildim. Konserler iptal oldu, yeni albümlerin lansmanları ertelendi.
