Kendi hayatı biraz düzene kavuşunca, artık diğer evsizler için bir şeyler yapmak istiyordu. Sokaklardan tanıdığı bir çocukluk arkadaşı mültimilyoner olmuştu. Onun yardımıyla evsizlerin dağıtıp para kazandığı bir sokak gazetesi kurdu. ‘The Big Issue’ 10 yılını tamamladığında artık 70 ülkede, 300 bin adet satılan dünyanın en büyük sokak gazetesi haline gelmişti.
