ISTANBUL - A historian and social anthropologist by training who has spent a quarter of her life as an expat, Sema Alpayta is this year's only Turkish participant in NASA's Aerospace Institute taking place later this month. So far, a total of 30 different people are being sought by police in connection with the event; the suspects are thought to be in a wide range of cities, including Istanbul, Van, Diyarbakir, Hakkari, Sirnak, and Siirt.
