World renowned masters bring jazz winds to Istanbul
ISTANBUL - Kicking off last night with a performance by jazz pianist Kerem Görsev and singer Fatih Erkoç, the 16th International Istanbul Jazz Festival presents renowned jazz masters to music buffs in Istanbul until July 15. Traditional festival events such as a 'jazz boat' and street concerts will once again enliven the city, as they have in previous years.
Countdown for annual İzmir Int’l Fest begins
İZMİR - The annual International İzmir Festival is ready to welcome world-renowned musicians once again. The masters of the Japanese traditional art of drum, Kodo, will open the festival June 13. Music lovers will also have a chance to see the La Scala Philharmonic, the world’s best-known orchestras. Ankara host rock festival
Turkey's capital city, Ankara will host for the seventh year in a row, the International Ankara Rock Station Music Festival on November 13. Bands appearing on stage come from the Turkish cities of Ankara, Istanbul and Bursa will perform at the festival. The groups -- Arcane, Crossfire, Suicide, Solitude, Magick and Sanrı from Ankara; Knight Errant from Istanbul; and Metaroth from Bursa -- will perform at the Saklıkent Culture and Entertainment Center in Ankara.
