A "No" result would throw the 27-nation EU into diplomatic turmoil. All EU nations must approve the painstakingly negotiated pact for it to become law. The euro fell against dollar after the news. US appointed anti-PKK coordinator Ralston in Ankara
The newly appointed US coordinator for the fight against PKK terror, retired General Joseph W. Ralston, arrived in Ankara yesterday to meet with retired General Edip Baser, who is Turkey's coordinator in the anti-PKK struggle. There were no press conferences following the meeting.
