ISTANBUL - ’Benim ve Roz’un Sonbaharı’ (Roz’s and My Autumn) is based on a story of a journalist who publishes a local newspaper with the support of a few acquaintances to save Hasankeyf, a 10,000 year old settlement, from being flooded to accommodate a dam that is being planned in the area.
Following the scuffle between the Turkish and Swiss football teams that occurred after Wednesday night's match that ended with one Swiss player in hospital, Turkey has lashed back at FIFA's president Sepp Blatter for blaming Turkey for what took place. UEFA's Turkish vice president Senes Erzik said he was "stunned" by the blame put on the Turkish team by the FIFA president even before reports were written over the incident.
Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan will take part in a soccer match for ten minutes in the Inonu Stadium on February 22, to raise funds for the Tsunami victims. Erdogan will play in the Super League Mix, against the Foreigners League including also Alex. Erdogan had played soccer in the team of the Istanbul Municipality between 1971 and 1981. He was offered to join the famous Fenerbance team of Istanbul but his father did not allow him.
