‘Kadın liderler için önyargılarI kıralım’
Küresel işgücü piyasasında da, Türkiye’de de kadın çalışan olmak zor, lider olmak çok daha zor. Bu konuda en büyük engelin cam tavan dediğimiz görünmeyen bariyerler olduğunu belirten LEAD Network Türkiye Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Neslihan Nigiz Ulak, “Daha fazla kadın lider için cam tavanların yıkılması, kadınların rol ve sorumluluklarına ilişkin olumsuz kalıp ve yargıların ortadan kaldırılması gerekiyor” diyor.

Liderlikte Çeşitlilik ve Kapsayıcılık Konferansı İstanbul’da yapıldı
Hollanda merkezli sivil toplum kuruluşu LEAD Network Türkiye, perakende ve tüketim ürünleri sektörlerinde kadın yönetici sayısını artırmak üzere sürdürdüğü çalışmalar kapsamında “Liderlikte Çeşitlilik ve Kapsayıcılık Konferansı”nı, 17 Eylül 2024 Salı günü İstanbul’da gerçekleştirdi.

Kadın yöneticili şirketler borsada fark yaratıyor
Türkiye ve Avrupa'da perakende ve tüketici malları sektörlerinde çalışan kadın liderlerin desteklenmesine yönelik çalışmalar yürüten LEAD Network'ün Türkiye Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Füsun Tavus, kadınların üst yönetimde yer almasının şirket karlılıklarını artırdığını belirterek, "Yönetim kurullarında kadınların yer aldığı şirketlerin yüzde 5 ila yüzde 36 arası daha iyi borsa performansı gösterdiği ve bu şirketlerin hisse başına yatırımcısına kazandırdığı paranın en az yüzde 10 daha fazla olduğu görülüyor." dedi.

We were delighted with the colorful presence of 700 Turkish-speaking kids from all around the world at a recent gathering in Turkey. They won both hearts and minds in a country full of people who would be thrilled if a tourist called at them "Merhaba!" The usual answer would be, "Ne kadar güzel Türkçe konuşuyorsunuz / Your Turkish is so very good." The children came from literally all corners of the world to compete in singing, poetry-reading and prose competition at the Turkish Language Olympics, an exciting event sadly not covered by Eurosport.
Foreign, local artists’ display at Beylerbeyi
ISTANBUL - Twenty local and international artists, brought together by Filipino curator and artist Rowena Martinez Ulayan, are showing their work at Beylerbeyi Palace on Istanbul’s Asian shoreline. Hailing from Cuba, Mauritius, Russia, South Africa and the United States, as well as Turkey, all the artists brought together by Ulayan have made Istanbul their home. Turkmenistan blames Russia for pipeline blast
MOSCOW/ ALMATY - Turkmenistan has blamed Russia for a recent pipeline disruption, saying Russia’s gas export monopoly Gazprom had ’irresponsibly’ cut imports of gas and caused the accident. The blast was the second major accident on the territory, after a pipeline explosion in Moldova earlier this month.
