Turkish ambassadors in the Arab capitals are very popular these days. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s harsh criticism against Israel seems to have increased tremendously the popularity of Turkey in the Arab streets. Apparently crowds start to cheer when they see the official car with the Turkish flag carrying the ambassadors. Some visit the embassy to congratulate, some embassies received flowers. Some people have sent Erdoğan presents, wrote poems for him. "If he entered elections in the Arab world the prime minister will come out with a landslide victory," said a Turkish diplomat in post in an Arab country
We have been experiencing a great discussion for days. I would like to summarize it the way it is reflected to the public. Then I will tell the truth. Everything started with the announcement made by Minister of Justice M. Ali Şahin in Çankırı, "five or six more inmates will be sent to İmralı, where Öcalan is." The opposition became upset when this news was released.

Its sleek, user-friendly Web design, its well selected photo gallery, its RSS and Podcast facilities, its video and audio options and its rich subject list, were a really impressive entrance of the Turkish Radio and Television body into the cyber world.
The Constitutional Court ended the first day of deliberations on the merits of the closure case against the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) at 10:00 p.m. (0700 GMT) on Monday. In the first session the court rejected a demand of a Turkish lawyer to recuse four members, including the court chairman and the deputy. The court will reconvene on Tuesday. (UPDATED)
