HONG KONG - Economist Nouriel Roubini, one of the few experts to foresee the current global crisis, said yesterday a "suckers rally" in stock markets would fade as the U.S. economy continues to wither and the financial system suffers unexpected shocks.
KARS - If trade is life, one could easily say the province of Kars in the northeast of the country is slowly losing its will to survive. While Turkey shut its border with Armenia as reparations to that country, the declining living standards, bankrupt economy and migration has left the people of Kars thinking they are the ones being punished.
ISTANBUL - Sabancı University’s Sakıp Sabancı Museum has chosen to declare a mimosa season because of the beautifully flowering mimosa trees on the grounds of the museum. Even though the weather has been rather rainy for this time of year, the bright yellow blossoms stand out
