Today residents of Ankara will be able to see a solar eclipse. The eclipse in which the moon will cast its shadow over the northern Atlantic Ocean slowly passing over the Indian Ocean after approximately four hours will be visible at 11.28 am until 2.06 pm. TÜBİTAK Observatory have advised people to use an optical instrument with a filter, rather that watching it with binoculars, a camera or telescope as looking directly at the sun in this way could harm the eyes.
