Yıldız Park is a beautiful garden park behind Çırağan Palace offering panoramic views of the Bosphorus from picnic spots and two beautiful old pavilions serving brunch, lunch and tea. The assortment of the park’s trees is stunning: magnolia, bay, Judas trees, silver limes and horse-chestnuts, plus oak, cypress, pine, yew, cedar and ash trees.
In Emirgan Park several Ottoman pavilions have been renovated as restaurants. Or settle into the picnic tables among the flowers and views.
For TL 2, stroll the gardens of the lush Dolmabahçe palace grounds with a picnic along the Bosphorus. The patio caf is also open. Take mom to brunch at the Pine Club restaurant overlooking the gorgeous pool and forest at Parkorman. Families can also use the picnic areas supplied with barbecue grills. In Ankara, Gençlik Parkı features a large lake, cafes, restaurants and an amusement park with rides both for children and adults.
