ISTANBUL - Fashion designs from the Netherlands and Turkey came together on Nov. 24 on the catwalk at a fashion show organized by Axcess International and the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Istanbul.
The fashion show, "Fashion Bridges from the Netherlands to Istanbul," was hosted by the Dutch Foreign Trade Minister Frank Heemskerk during a visit from the Dutch Economic Delegation.
Turkish and Dutch fashion designers introduced 104 garments to an exclusive audience of artists, sportsmen and businessmen. Twenty-nine famous models, including Çağla Şikel, Ahu Yağtu, Pınar Tezcan and Şenay Akay wore garments from designers Erol Albayrak, Ümit Ünal, Arzu Kaprol, Jeroen van Tuyl, Sara Vrugt, EnD, or Eva and Delia, Dilek Hanif, Hatice Gökçe, Mada van Gaans, Özlem Süer, Emily Hermans, Bas Kosters and Edwin Ousdhoorn.
The show was held at the Rahmi
Koç Museum, choreographed by Uğurkan Erez. The exhibition accompanying the show, "Fashion Bridges from the Netherlands to Istanbul" opened at the Istanbul Fashion Academy yesterday. It will continue for one month.
