Hurriyet talked with Alaattin Cakici in his cell in Vienna. Alaattin Cakici and his ex-wife Ugur Kilic had a happy relation. However, Cakici and Ugur Kilic were divorced on November 4, 1994 and Ugur Kilic was shot dead in Uludag on January 20, 1995. Alaattin Cakici said, "Dundar Kilic (Ugur Kilic's father and a mafia boss who was dead in 1999) called me from the U.S. and said, 'your wife is making unacceptable immoralities; there are gossips that he has affairs with a policeman and a woman.'"Cakici also stated that the Austrian judge said, "If you were a Kurd or a leftist, we would not extradite you, because the torture is applied to them in Turkey, but you are a rightist. No torture would be applied to you."Â
