World Press Photo Contest Exhibition in Istanbul

“World Press Photo Contest Exhibition” will be displayed in Istanbul between January 19th and February 11th, 2006. The exhibition, which will be held by Istanbul Amateur's Photography and Cinema Club (IFSAK), Dutch Consulate General in Istanbul and TNT Express Turkey, will be inaugurated by Dutch Consul General in Istanbul Marco Hennis.

IFSAK stated that photos of nearly 200 photographers will be displayed in the exhibition.
Last year 69,190 photos of 4,266 photographers from 123 countries took part in the contest, and the jury assessed photos in 9 different categories which were sent from agencies, photojournalists, newspapersand magazines.
World Press Photo which was established in 1955 is a platform which is active in the Netherlands.
