ANTALYA - Turkey’s most popular tourist destination, Antalya, will have a new domestic terminal, arranged through an agreement between the State Airports Operating Administration, or DHMI and Fraport-IC İçtaş, which is already running Antalya Airport.
According to the written statement released by DHMI, the agreement on the construction of a new domestic terminal is an additional contract to the agreement signed on May 22,2007 between DHMI and Fraport-IC İçtaş.
DHMI General Manager Orhan Birdal and Fraport-IC İçtaş Antalya Airport Chairman Fırat Çeçen and Deputy Chairman Alexander Zinnell signed the additional contract.
In the written statement, it was said: "According to the main agreement, the operating company should undertake the restoration of the domestic terminal."
"However, due to the needs, we made an additional contract to the main agreement to built a new domestic terminal at a cost of 100 million euros," it said. "According to the agreement, the ne terminal will be completed by June of 2010," the statement concluded.
The international terminal at the airport was also renewed with a construction in 2005.
