US start a new approach against PKK

US plans to use the same method to end the PKK activities in the European countries as they did in the early 1900s against famous gangster Al Capone, Frank Urbancic Jr, Principal Deputy Coordinator for counter terrorism at the State Department, told in a meeting with four Turkish journalists at the US Embassy in Ankara.

He recalled that the US government sentenced Capone for not the criminal allegations but for tax fraud.

Urbacic, had talks with the Turkish Justice and Interior Ministry officials in Ankara, following a two weeks long visit to the Western European countries including, Denmark and Belgium.

"We have a common approach to make sure that the case that Turks prepares, will use at the courts in Europe" he said. "

Mr. Urbancic used the term "octopus" to define the activities of PKK all around Europe. PKK is on the terrorist organizations lists of both EU and US.

"U.S. will be a bridge, translator, and catalyst that the real pain that Turks felt be understood by the Europeans" he said.

He also mentioned the Roj TV, a TV channel broadcasting from Denmark and blamed by Turkey for making the propaganda of PKK.

Mr. Urbancic signaled that he shared Turkey’s arguments over Roj TV. "We convince that Roj Tv is the forefront of the terrorist activities and the propaganda arm of PKK". The US administration worked to encourage the Danish officials to take actions against Roj TV, he added.
