"The Weekly Standard," a US publication known for its support in so-called "neo-conservative" circles, has published the caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed which have caused so much discord across the Middle East over past days.

The editory of the magazine, William Kristol, said that his publication was reprinting the caricatures so that "readers can see what is being argued over." Kristol also noted that some people had given in to radical Islam in the whole caricature issue, and that he saw his magazine as "playing a small role" in fighting the tide of extremism.

In the opening column introducing the caricatures, Kristol blamed the imams in Denmark for bringing the crisis to the tipping world the world observed this week.
