US and Turkey to form "joint information centre"

Gen. Ergin Saygun, second chief of General Staff, met with top U.S. generals in Ankara on Tuesday, producing an agreement to form a joint information centre in the fight against the PKK.

The centre will process information received from surveillance aircraft and relay it to teams on the ground.
Saygun met with Gen. James Cartwright, vice chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Gen. David Petraeus, who leads the American operation in Iraq.
