Two PKK members detained in Batman

Turkish authorities have captured two members of terrorist group, the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), and charged them with planning an attack on security forces in southeast Turkey, the Reuters new agency reported on Saturday. The two were detained six days ago in the town of Batman after trying to lure unsuccessfully security forces into a trap by claiming that thieves were stealing oil from a local pipeline, said the agency.

Two Kalashnikov rifles were found along with hand grenades, bomb making equipment and 500 grammes of explosives with the men, according to the report.
The men were sent to a detention center pending their trial, after confessing to their plan.
