Two people were killed and five injured as they left a wedding party, when a garbage can exploded in the Pendik district of Istanbul at around 12.15 am on Wednesday, reported the Anatolian news agency. The man and woman, Eda and Hatica Muslu were getting into their car as the explosion occurred. The cause of the explosion was not yet clear, and there had been no claims of responsibility as to who had committed the attack.The emergency services were quick to respond and were helping the wounded. This attack is close on the heels of an attack that hit the southern Mediterranean resort town of Antalya on Tuesday, wounding tow municipal workers, two tourists and a local resident when a similar style explosion occurred. This is the latest in a long line of bombings that are targeting tourist towns in Turkey, most of the attacks have been claimed by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). Â
