Turkoglu helps power Magic past Raptors

All-Star center Dwight Howard added 18 points and nine rebounds as the Magic won their fourth game in a row and eighth in their past nine starts after opening the season 0-2.

Turkoglu and Nelson set the pace down the stretch for Orlando. Turkoglu scored seven Magic points in a row to open the fourth quarter and sank four 3-pointers in the final period.

Bosh, who also grabbed 18 rebounds, sparked the Raptors within six points in the fourth quarter before a Howard hook shot, a Turkoglu 3-pointer and Nelson hoop pulled the hosts away to stay.

Orlando guard Mickael Pietrus of France sat out the game with bruised ribs. Pietrus, averaging 14.5 points in his first season with the Magic, was replaced by J.J. Redick in the lineup. Redick had 10 points in 34 minutes.
