ISTANBUL - The Turkish Retailers Federation, or TPF, and the Career Development Training Center, or Kargem, are organizing an eight-city training tour for retailers over the coming months, aimed at training company managers on business development, management skills and professional training.
The training is free of charge and targets the 200 member companies of the TPF. The sessions will take place in eight locations throughout Anatolia, from Diyarbakır to Kayseri, Bursa and Istanbul.
The training sessions will start in early June and last until late December. They will train general managers, human resources managers, regional directors, board members and store coordinators, among others. The training program is sponsored by a number of Turkish and international retail giants, including Unilever, Algida, Doğuş, Kotex, S.O.S Güvenlik, Sitil, Tibet, Kenton, Ernet, Huggies, Binbirçiçerk and Camsil. The training program is aiming to reach some 33,318 employees from TPF member companies.
Hasan Aydoğan, general manager of Kargem, explained the training sessions would also aim to support and guide company managers in managing their businesses during the current market turbulence.
"We are planning the training tour to increase local retailers’ ability to fare with the current crisis and give them new ideas," Aydoğan told the press in Istanbul yesterday. "Our professional training will also give local retailers the added strength to follow sector, economic and technological developments."
