Turkish politician optimistic about Turkey

ISTANBUL – Any country that successfully completes the reforms will be admitted into the European Union, Cem Özdemir, the head of the German Green Party of Turkish origin, said during a panel in Istanbul, adding that he was not pessimistic about Turkey’s future.
People in Turkey consider the Ergenekon and the Light House cases like being a football team fan, Özdemir said when asked about support for either of them. “Anything that is wrong is bad,” Özdemir said.
