Turkish photojournalist, Murad Sezer, was recognized for outstanding contributions in photojournalism, Monday, when his team of Associated Press Staff took home the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for "Breaking News Photography".   Pulitzer Prize PicturesThe 89th Pulitzer was awarded to AP Staff for their stunning series of photographs of the bloody yearlong combat inside Iraqi cities.The Pulitzer Prize is regarded as the most prestigious prize in journalism, and was originally conceived by Joseph Pulitzer as an incentive to excellence. Pulitzer, a Hungarian-born skillful publisher of newspapers and crusader against dishonest governments, was the first to call for the training of journalists at the university level in a school of journalism.
