A Turkish engineer, who went to Pakistan to help in relief efforts after the devastating quake in October, has died from severe burns he sustained during a fire in a tent city in Pakistan, reported Anatolia news agency on Sunday. Cenk Yakin, a geological engineer aged 30 years, was transferred in late November to Ankara hospital, where he was treated for sever burns. Although doctors did their best to save Yakin, it wasn't enough and he died on Saturday evening in Ankara hospital
Yakin had been in Pakistan as part of a mission to rebuild homes for quake victims after October 8. The Pakistani officials have blamed the incident on quake survivors who lit fires too close to or inside temporary shelters.
