Streets of the Turkish capital of Ankara will host an open air exhibition of multi-colored cows, municipality executives said on Wednesday
Some150 life size fiberglass cows will adorn the streets of Ankara as part of the "Cow Parade", which is considered among the world's biggest public art events.
Ankara will host the event for two months from Aug.15.
Residents of Istanbul showed great interest in "Cow Parade" open air exhibition, which took place in the city between Aug. 1 and Oct.31, 2007.
"Cow Parade" is the world's largest public art event. Beginning in Zurich in 1998, the event is continually growing in size, quality and creativity.
It's a chance for the city to come together to support art, culture and most importantly, charity.
The parade has been hosted in more than 55 cities from Chicago, New York, Paris, Boston, San Antonio, London, Barcelona, Athens to Tokyo.
"Cow Parade" is first and foremost a public art exhibit that is accessible to everyone.
