Turkey was ranked the 23rd in the world in regard to the foreign debt figures collected from data by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), CIA and IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2008.
Turkey was ranked the 23rd with its $247.1 billion of foreign debt stock.
The United States was ranked the first with a $12.2 trillion foreign debt. Britain, Germany and France followed the USA in the foreign debt ranking.
