Turkey’s Defense Industry Executive Committee has agreed to enter talks with Telespazio S.p.A company, a subsidiary of Italian Finmeccanica Group, for the spy satellite project (GOKTURK), the Italian Embassy said in a statement on Friday.

The project is expected to cost more than 250 million euros also forecasts the construction of a satellite control center which will be developed with the Turkish Aerospace Industries, the statement said.

Turkey’s prime minister, Tayyip Erdogan, chaired the meeting where the agreement signed.
