Thousands to visit the furniture fair

ISTANBUL - Istanbul is gearing up to host its fifth furniture fair on Jan. 28 at the CNR Expo Fair Center in Istanbul.
Leading companies of the furniture industry, such as Çilek, İpek, Yataş, Doğtaş, Adnan Serbest, İdaş, Mondi, Kilim, Aldora and Atlas will participate in the Istanbul Furniture Fair, or IMOB.
Contest
The fair will provide businesses full access to global furniture trends and a close look at the rich content of the Turkish furniture market. During the event, a design contest will be held. Awards will be presented in five categories. Those who are looking to participate in the contest have to apply by Jan. 15.
The IMOB, is organized by Istanbul Fuarcılık, a national fair organizer, and supported by the Association of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers, or MOSDER. It will remain open until Feb. 1. Last year’s IMOB attracted 72,103 people, while 6,752 of who were foreigners.
