BANGKOK - Thailand's prime minister Friday lifted a state of emergency imposed in the capital following anti-government riots by supporters of ousted former leader Thaksin Shinawatra, while authorities tried to locate the fugitive tycoon abroad.
Abhisit Vejjajiva made the announcement at the end of a two-day special parliamentary session aimed at finding a solution to the country's political crisis.
