The organization carried out regular relations with U.S. Embassy, Istanbul Consulate General, U.S. Trade Chambers Union, European American Chambers Union Association, Terzioglu told at the meeting.Â
TABA was founded in 1987 as a non-profit organization, with head office in Istanbul and 5 branches in Turkey. It has over 650 members.
As the representative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Turkey, its goal is to enhance trade relations between the USA and Turkey; to encourage American investments into this country; assist its members by connecting them with potential strategic partners; help solve their trade-related issues and contribute to Turkey's promotion abroad.
In order to accomplish these goals, TABA/AmCham has founded several task committees composed of her members. These committees are: Membership, Project Development, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Energy and Infrastructure, Law and Finance, Publication, Activities and Communications, Corporate Affairs, Consumer Products, Intellectual Royalty Rights, Trademarks Defense Industry, Tourism, Real Estate and Transportation, Investment and Regulations pertaining to EU relations.
TABA/AmCham is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the USA (COCUSA), member of the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce (ECACC) and American-Turkish Council (ATC).
