Teacher dies in school shooting

A teacher is dead and four other people were left wounded, when a gunman opened fire with a Kalashnikov rifle at a primary school in the town of Nusaybin, in Turkey's troubled southeast on Tuesday. The incident was played down by the local security forces as having any type of link to the current political unrest that is plaguing the region of Hakkari, which borders Iran and Iraq.

"We see this incident as a blood feud. The killer left the scene by motorbike," the local governor's office said in a statement, adding that security forces were searching for him.
The male teacher who died, Adnan Celik, was 48 years old, while another female teacher and three children were wounded. Fortunately the attack happened while most of the children were on their home.
Reuters news agency reported that a local official believed that two men aged 19 had carried out the attack.
