Sweden brings opportunity to Turkey

Stockholm – The fact that Sweden will assume the rotating presidency of the European Union provides a big opportunity for Turkey, said the country’s only Turkish-origin parliamentarian Mehmet Kaplan.
He said Swedish politicians believe Turkish Cypriots were tricked during the entry of Greek Cyprus into the EU. “It is a big chance for Turkey that Sweden assumes the presidency at a time when these issues will be discussed,” Kaplan said.
