Suver stays as Marmara Group chair

ISTANBUL - The Marmara Group Foundation has just held an extraordinary general assembly at the Ramada Plaza Hotel. Professor Ahmet Samsunlu, a former minister, was elected Divan Chairman, while Dr. Akkan Suver was re-elected to the foundation's General Chairmanship.

The foundations executive committee for 2009 to 2010 consists of: Dr. Akkan Suver, Engin Köklüçınar, Ogan Soysal, Yüksel Çengel, Prof. Dr. Sedefhan Oğuz, Samil Ayrım, Cengiz Güldamlası, Mustafa Karagül, Lale Aytanç Nalbant, Dr. Fatih Saraçoğlu, Aykut Eken, Vedat Eskinat and Yüksel Erikmen.
The Marmara Group Foundation was established in 1985 to conduct strategic and social research for the benefit of the public. The foundation operates through a number of work groups that are made up of academics and other experts who prepare reports and memorandums on subjects of interest to the public.
