BODRUM - The Bodrum Volunteers Foundation has revealed a project that aims to be a model for more environmentally friendly construction in the Aegean city.
Creating the "Sun House Project" is a two-step initiative, explained Cüneyt Karaloğlu, a member of the foundation that designed it: "The multipurpose system we place on the roof first collects solar energy, then converts it to the forms of energy that we need."
The second step will be done through Perlstein metal, according to Karaloğlu, who has patented the concept and is looking for investors and local governments to work with on building a model Sun House in Bodrum.
"The project aims to meet the need for heating, electricity, hot water and air conditioning through solar energy," Karaloğlu said, noting the use of solar energy would reduce dependency on fossil fuels and help reverse the effects of global warming.
