Students Froze to Death

Tragic events that have taken place in boarding primary schools were reflected on the report written by the Education Ministry Counsellor. It was revealed that 7 students, who could not adapt to school and fled, were frozen to death.

A report prepared about boarding primary schools in Bingol, where 84 students of a boarding school died in an earthquake, revealed that most of students, who cannot adapt themselves to the school, prefer to flee. In the past, 7 of such students froze to death. The report stated, “This shows that the atmosphere of these schools should be improved to suit for child psychology.”
The report also revealed that older ones sexually harassed younger students and this was hardly discovered by school administrations. Nevertheless, the Education Ministry issued a written statement saying that no sexual harassment case was encountered.
