Steps Against PKK

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan told Hurriyeet while in Moscow that the U.S. intervention to PKK militants in Northern Iraq, was a matter of time. Erdogan said that Turkey felt disturbance over northern Iraq and especially PKK but "Serious steps may be taken after the elections in Iraq."He said "There is no problem between us and U.S, as has been reported. We are uneasy of the developments in Northern Iraq. The PKK-Kongra-Gel disturbs us very much. But many developments took place on this issue. A meeting waas held in Ankara.  There are positive developments. But of course, only after elections, serious steps can be taken. Consequently, this is a matter of time." Â
