’Solution should come from Cypriots’

ISTANBUL - United Nations Secretary General’s special adviser for Cyprus, Alexander Downer, said there was momentum in the talks aimed at reunifying the island, daily Cyprus Mail reported yesterday.
Emphasizing that this was "not a process that will be owned by the United Nations or the international community", Downer said a solution to the Cyprus problem should come from the people and not foreigners.
