An Ankara head teacher has come under scrutiny after a female student told local officials that the teacher, E.K., sexually harassed her.

According to the allegations, the sixth form fine arts teacher invited the 17-year old boarding school student, Y.T., to his home, insisted that she stay after dinner, and proceeded to sexually harass her while he played a pornographic film.
Incident made known to Public Prosecutor’s office
The incident was made known to the Public Prosecutor’s office and inspectors from the Ministry of Education have started an enquiry. The fact that the head teacher was relocated to another school instead of being removed from duty has since drawn criticism.
