MAASTRICHT - TOBB University of Economics and Technology and the Maastricht School of Management signed a protocol on student exchange program and collaboration in Maastricht on Sunday.
The signing of a protocol was the fruit of the "Third a Maastrict Economic Summit for the Turkish businessmen in Europe" organized by Dutch-Turkish Businessmen Association, or HOTİAD.
The focus of the summit was on Turkey-European Union relations. The summit highlighted that Turkey’s economic strength, human resources and strategic location would be a great contribution to EU.
Halim Mete, the vice president of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, or TOBB, said the protocol signed between TOBB University of Economics and Technology and the Maastricht School of Management was very important. The Maastricht School of Management is one of the best schools in its field, he said, adding that it could contribute much to relations between Turkey and the Netherlands. TOBB University of Economics and Technology was founded by TOBB on July 1, 2003.
The Maastricht School of Management is a key player in global education, said Rene van der Linden, who has been serving as chairman of the school since 1999. Annually more than 3,000 students graduate at campuses in more than 30 countries, he said.
