Many historical works in Turkey were looted, destroyed, smuggled abroad, but nothing came close to the scandal in Konya, that was revealed ten years later.During a restoration  on the Aleaddin mosque, a historical heritage of 800 years, the sacrophagus of the eight leading soltans of the Seljuki era were also dug for maintenance.  However, these were then forgotten in the open and dogs took them away. The remains of the bones were collected from all over the Aleaddin hill the next day and distributed among the 8 tombs.   Murat Bardakci who invesitgated into the case, had a number of museum directors confirm it  and he came across "Unbelivable facts." Soltan Mesud 1st, Kilicarslan 2nd, Rukneddin Suleyman 2nd, GÄ°yaseddin Keyhusrev 1st Aleaddin Keykubat 1st, GÄ°yaseddin Keyhursrev 2nd , Rukneddin Kilicarslan 4th and GÄ°yaseddin Keyhusreve were teh most importent soltants of the Anatolian Seljuks between 1166 and 1284. The Crusaders were the ones who opened the tombs 800 years ago. They dug the tombs and demonstrated the bodies of soltans, broke their bones, before the eyes of Seljuki soldiers. These impertinent scenes demoralized the Seljukis who suffered a big defeat later on. Â
