MOSCOW - Russia's Central Bank has allowed the ruble to drop for a second straight day after the country's 10-day holiday.
The ruble declined 1.1 percent against the dollar-euro basket at the start of trading on the MICEX foreign currency exchange yesterday morning. The ruble fell by 0.5 rubles to hit 31 rubles against the dollar and 41.6 rubles against the euro. The drop is the 14th devaluation of the national currency since Nov. 11.
