MOSCOW - Russia allowed the ruble to weaken again against its dollar-euro currency basket yesterday, the seventh effective devaluation in five weeks.
The Bank of Russia said the band within which the ruble is allowed to trade against the dollar-euro basket had been widened. News agencies said the basket - made up of 55 percent dollars and 45 percent euros - yesterday was worth the equivalent of 32.62 rubles compared with 32.20 Tuesday.
