You will be surprised

It was during a conversation held three days ago in Ankara, at a reception for Indonesia's National Day, that Ambassador Wilson revealed that the US had infact decided on a name for the coordinator position. Speaking with Yasar Yakis, the head of the Turkish Parliament's EU Commission, Wilson said "We have decided on a name. You will be both very surprised and very pleased. The person is someone known very well by Turkey." Wilson did not however reveal the name of the new coordinator.Â

Possible names include Myers, Powell, or Grossman

In Ankara, many sources are speculating that the US appointed coordinator for the position could be either former Chief of Staff Richard Myers, former US Secretary of State Colin Powell, or former US Ambassador to Ankara, Marc Grossman.Â
