Robert De Niro at Ramadan meal with Turkish PM

Ahmet Ertegün, the co-founder of Atlantic Records, organised an evening meal in honour of Prime Minister Erdoğan at the Carlisle Hotel in New York yesterday where Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, along with wife Grace Hightower, spent some time chatting with Sumeyye Erdoğan, the prime minister’s daughter.

Former mayor of New York Rudy Guiliani and former President of the World Bank James Wolfensohn also attended the event.
Ertegün moved to the United States when his father became Turkish ambassador to the United States and later signed Ray Charles and Led Zeppelin to major record deals. He is lately known for joining with media baron Rupert Murdoch to buy the Turkish television channel TGRT.
