With the ruling AKP having submitted its MP candidate list to the High Electoral Board (YSK) in Ankara, some prominent AKP figures whose names were not put on the list are aiming heavy criticisms at Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his inner circles for the choices involved in the list-making.

Some AKP figures, such as AKP Adana MP Abdullah Caliskan, who was left off of the list, have accused PM Erdogan of submitting a "e-memorandum list," a reference to the sharply worded memorandum posted on the Turkish military's official web site on April 27, a memorandum which some have claimed helped shape the Constitutional Court decision which came around a week later that ruled the first round of presidential elections was void.

Meanwhile, sources in the capital also note that the MP list submitted by the AKP this time also reflects the assertions made over the past years by Erdogan that the AKP had "removed its National View shirt." The "Milli Gorus," or "National View" is a political stance reflective of a more conservative stance (on religion and other matters) than the AKP now claims to embrace. Of the 550 candidates submitted on the MP list by Erdogan, there are only 3 religious scholars, while there are 95 law experts and lawyers, 88 engineers, and 45 businessmen.
