ISTANBUL - The world’s top automaker General Motors, or GM, and Turkey’s leading fuel distributor Petrol Ofisi, or PO, have launched a new campaign that will enable customers of GM brands, such as Opel, Saab and Chevrolet, to benefit from the latest fuel technologies.
Via the agreement, GM customers, whose number in Turkey reached nearly 500,000, will be provided with an opportunity to partake in PO’s customer loyalty program "Positive Card." Becoming a member of the Positive Card campaign enables PO customers, and now GM customers, to benefit from special offers.
Within the framework of the program, PO’s V/Max fuel type, which reduces engine pollution and maximizes performance, will be recommended when a GM brand vehicle is brought in for service. Meanwhile, GM vehicle owners with expired warranties, who spend 349 Turkish Liras or more on servicing, will be offered free fuel worth 50 liras between Feb. 16 and April 16.
Speaking at a press conference in Istanbul yesterday, PO Deputy Managing Director Ertan Çakır said the cooperation between PO and GM would enable more than 500,000 GM customers in Turkey to benefit from the card’s advantages.
"At the same time, PO will introduce the V/Max fuel technology, which enhances fuel efficiency and performance, to GM customers," Çakır told journalists.
"By bringing GM customers in Turkey together with PO advanced fuel technologies, we aim to have Opel, Saab and Chevrolet drivers become regulars at PO stations," said Altuğ Tekgözen, PO fuel products pricing manager.
"Integrating PO and GM customer loyalty programs, we plan to launch new campaigns including mutual promotions and special offers in order to maximize customer satisfaction," Tekgözen said.
Customer satisfaction
"As GM, we have one of Turkey’s most widespread and long-established authorized service network and to cooperate with PO will strengthen our position in Turkey even more," said Alpagut Girgin, GM Turkey’s director of post-sales customer relations.
"Now we are conducting the most aggressive technical service campaign in Turkey with PO and focusing on customer satisfaction. We are looking forward to developing this cooperation in the future," Girgin said.
